Did you know that in metro Atlanta, only 41% of students are reading at grade level, and fewer than 1 in 5 low-income students are academically knowledgeable in key subjects?
Now imagine being a Muslim family in this landscape, seeking not only quality education, but also Islamic values, identity, and purpose. With over 75,000 Muslims in Atlanta and only a few Islamic schools available, many families are left with limited or no options.
Thats why Al-Furqan Academy is a offering a fully accredited K–12 Islamic school located in Norcross, Georgia. We serve a diverse student body with a curriculum that blends academic excellence with deep Islamic values. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where students can thrive in both dunya and akhirah.

Students are our Future
Despite our strong foundation, we are at a critical juncture. Al-Furqan Academy serves a growing number of students from underprivileged communities. We offer a balanced education that nurtures both the mind and the soul, but we’re facing urgent challenges:
Over 60–70% of our students receive financial aid through zakat donations. Many come from families struggling to meet even their basic needs. Without immediate support, these children may be forced to leave school and return to environments that lack safety, structure, and spiritual guidance.
We’ve raised $275,000, but we need $600,000 to meet our goals and serve our provide tuition to every students who walk through the door

How Your Zakat Can Help?
At Al-Furqan Academy, we are committed to full transparency and responsible stewardship of your donation. Whether you’re giving zakat, sadaqah, or a one-time gift, your support is used with care, compassion, and purpose.
Zakat donations are exclusively used to cover tuition for eligible students from low-income families. These funds:
• Ensure that no child is turned away due to financial hardship.
• Support over 40 students currently enrolled.
• Help us reduce our waiting list of 20+ students who are eager to join but cannot afford tuition.
Zakat is distributed in accordance with Islamic guidelines and overseen by our leadership team.
